Maya Update

Last week Maya had an ophthalmology follow up and she did very well considering mommy wasn't expecting it to be a 2 hour appointment! She is not showing signs of a lazy eye that preemies are more prone to have, but she is slightly far sighted and while I have no idea how they figure this out, it does make her even more prone to have a lazy eye. So back we go in 6 months to have another check.

Maya is generally having a great time swimming although has been a little fussy lately and I am not sure why. Maybe too loud, not sure.. Anyway here are some snap shots of our little water baby.

Here is a video of Maya with Daddy. She was loving splashing and seems to prefer being in water she can stand in.

Otherwise, Maya hit another milestone recently well this weekend. She can now sit by herself. Sometimes not as well as others, but in general she really loved sitting on the mat and playing. She also is quite talkative. The video is a bit dark, sorry. We (well I) will have to work on lighting as on the screen it looked fine.
